Attacks on guide dogs are more common than you would realise. The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has started a new #TakeTheLead campaign that calls for pet dog owners to help prevent avoidable attacks on guide dogs.
For a blind or partially sighted person, a guide dog can be their lifeline, so having it attacked and potentially injured can be a very frightening experience.
The association has produced a short animated film that be seen here.
