4: Proven Adaptability to Meet Our Customer’s Needs

When acting as an outsourced IT department to our customers, we have to be able to adapt to their changing needs to ensure their businesses expand and run smoothly.

A long standing customer of over fourteen years, an electronic components manufacturer in Aylesbury, has often had interesting challenges for Vantage IT to resolve. From a single server setup, their business requirements grew to demand the cost effective installation of three separate servers and Vantage IT migrated Microsoft Exchange to one, with Citrix being installed on another and their business system on the third.
 
More recently, the parent company required that the email system be replaced with Lotus Domino and Notes. Vantage IT provided a cost analysis of the most efficient means of achieving this, which entailed upgrading an existing server and replacing fourteen PCs.
 
Once the decision had been taken, the entire process was handed over to Vantage IT to manage. The server and PCs were set-up and installed with the minimum amount of disruption to the users. Vantage IT then carried out the migration process from Exchange to Domino, provided training to the users and were on hand to answer any questions. Vantage IT’s careful planning of the installation and migration ensured the customer could continue to work as normally as possible and with minimum interruption to both its staff and customers.
